Dialogic Reading for Comprehension: effects on children's story retelling - a case report

The present study investigated if Dialogic Reading for Comprehension can help children improve their retelling skills. Earlier studies suggest that promotes the inclusion of psychological story elements, but has little effect on organization plot sequences. is a development aimed at comprehension. It uses scaffolding based (a) structure events and (b), meaning (narrative functions). A single subject design was used across participants two an adapted alternating treatment other two, with follow-up. At were not including minimum elements to create coherent storyline this skill established intervention. Plot sequence improved most combined condition. Narrative enrichment affected. Thus, it discussed organize coherence. superiority condition may reflect underlying interdependence between action-related components narratives.
